Customer Relations Officer – Shopping Experience (Part‑Time)

About the role
Reporting to the Shopping Experience Manager, you will act as the liaison officer who ensures a friendly, safe and joyful shopping environment for all IKEA visitors. This part‑time position focuses on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining store standards.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a welcoming, secure environment for customers throughout the store.
- Follow departmental action plans and daily checklists to improve service delivery.
- Oversee children’s safety and cleanliness in the Småland area, as well as amenities such as the First‑Aid and Nursing rooms.
- Plan, coordinate and follow up on IKEA Family activities and children’s birthday parties.
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, recording information and compiling statistics.
- Perform general housekeeping duties and support other Customer Relations functions (e.g., Checkout, Easy Buying) when needed.
Required profile
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for serving children and families.
- Committed team player who can also work independently.
- Ability to manage stress and provide practical solutions to operational issues.
- Good computer literacy and multitasking ability.
- Willingness to work retail shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
