Customer Support Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials engineering solutions for display and semiconductor chips, is hiring a Customer Support Engineer in Singapore. The role acts as the primary link between customers and operations, turning sales orders into delivery commitments and managing non-standard requests.

Key responsibilities

• Translate customer sales orders into device delivery commitments within manufacturing business guidelines, working in cross-functional groups
• Process non-standard requests (NSRs) from customers with Product Line Managers, Product Managers and Engineering
• Act as the main interface with Operations Managers and coordinate shipment status and configuration changes between operations and account teams
• Communicate commitment status and maintenance to customers, including source inspections
• Manage order fulfillment from forecast, manufacturing slot request, booking closure to shipment
• Initiate customer-requested inside lead-time change requests for approval
• Prepare the clean booking checklist (CBC) so purchase orders, spec demonstration approvals (SDA), clarification letters and other requirements are complete
• Manage customer RMA communications and escalate booking or revenue issues to management when needed
