Cyber Security Analyst – Junior – Fully Remote (Singapore)

About the role

We are looking for a junior software engineer to transition into a Cyber Security Analyst position within a global security consultancy. The role is fully remote, based in Singapore, and supports the 24‑hour SOC operating across London and the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• L1 SOC: Review client emails via an email gateway, detect phishing and scams, and act as first responder for incidents.
• L2 SOC: Perform deeper analysis of high‑severity incidents, handle client tickets ranging from email blocking to complex investigations.
• Security Engineer: Collaborate with development teams to improve detection heuristics.
• Digital Forensics & Incident Response: Assist in incident response, analyse SIEM logs, and communicate findings to clients.

Required profile

• Computer science background from a reputable university.
• 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in operating systems, networking and Active Directory.
• Motivation to pivot into cyber security; no prior security experience required.
