Cyber Security Architecture & Engineering Intern

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting a Cyber Security Architecture and Engineering intern within its Systems Office for Asia, Information Technology Risk Management Department. The internship runs from 11 January 2027 to 30 June 2027 and focuses on assessing, trialling and implementing large language model (LLM) applications in cybersecurity. It is based in Singapore and is open to Singaporean and PR students only.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, trial and implement LLM models for threat detection and analysis, including phishing detection, code security review, predictive threat analysis and real-time alert systems.
• Develop chatbot systems using LLMs for cybersecurity awareness training and automate incident response and report writing.
• Use LLMs to strengthen user authentication through behavioural biometrics, support encryption and data protection, and help create vulnerability patches.
• Build real-time monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities, customise security frameworks to company needs, and train LLMs to detect social engineering attacks.
• Apply LLMs to data loss prevention, cybersecurity research, and policy and compliance management.
• Follow ethical use of AI and LLMs, managing risks such as misuse and bias.

Required profile
