Cyber Security Defensive Operations Analyst (1-year contract)

About the role

Join the Global Cyber Security team of Mercedes‑Benz as a Defensive Operations Analyst on a 1‑year renewable contract. You will work from Singapore, collaborating with the Cyber Intelligence and Response Centre (CIRC) and global teams across EMEA and NAFTA to protect one of the world’s most iconic automotive brands.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and triage security alerts from Mercedes‑Benz log sources, assess impact and drive rapid containment.
• Investigate threats, identify risk gaps and evaluate organizational impact through deep technical analysis of attack vectors and threat intelligence.
• Partner with the CIRC threat intelligence team to enrich contextual analysis and support OSINT‑based threat hunting.
• Lead communications with end‑users and stakeholders during incident response, remediation and recovery.
• Provide weekend analyst support as part of a 24/7 global operations roster.
• Coordinate and implement security projects assigned by the Head of Global Defensive Operations.
• Mentor junior team members in technical skills and incident‑management best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, IT, Networking, Engineering or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP or GCIH are a plus.
• Fluent English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Valid Singapore work visa.
