Data Center Technical Project Manager

About the role

ByteDance’s Data Center Development team is looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end delivery of new data centre facilities across the Asia‑Pacific region. The role combines project management, engineering coordination and local standards localisation to ensure timely, cost‑effective and compliant roll‑out of green‑field sites.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of data centre projects, from site selection and acquisition to hand‑over.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams and manage external data centre providers for green‑field builds.
• Oversee electrical and telecom fit‑out works within data halls.
• Localise global data centre standards to match regional workmanship and design requirements.
• Support technical reviews, capacity planning and risk‑control activities for APAC sites.
• Collaborate with design teams to optimise data hall specifications.
• Assist local operations teams with post‑handover defect rectification.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience delivering data centre projects of at least 50 MW.
• Familiarity with data centre building standards and authority requirements in APAC, especially Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
