Data Centre Project Construction Manager

About the role

The Data Centre Project Construction Manager will lead the construction of domestic and overseas data centre projects, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and schedule targets. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to define standards, manage procurement, and hand over facilities to operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end construction of large‑scale IDC projects (≥10,000 m²) across multiple locations.
• Assist in creating planning standards, site‑selection criteria, and operational specifications.
• Develop technical bidding and procurement documents for self‑built, joint‑built, and leased projects.
• Take overall responsibility for safety, quality, and schedule compliance during construction.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure timely delivery and smooth handover to O&M teams.
• Utilise digital management platforms for project tracking and documentation.
• Produce valuable project documentation and solutions for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, HVAC, or Automatic Control.
• 2.5–8 years of mechanical/electrical construction management experience on large IDC projects.
• Experience with overseas data‑centre or computing‑infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Fluent oral English for daily communication.
• Strong communication, planning, and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work under sustained high pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Project, Visio, BIM and other engineering software.
• Deep knowledge of IDC architecture planning and design.
• Expertise in chilled water, air‑cooling, immersion liquid cooling, and back‑plate liquid cooling solutions.
• Familiarity with electrical, HVAC, weak‑current, and fire‑fighting equipment.
• Solid understanding of weak‑current control systems and fire‑fighting control logic.
