Data Engineer – Big Data

About the role

Razer is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, high‑volume data processing systems that support internal analytics and AI initiatives. You will work with a global team to enable reliable collection, transformation, and storage of raw data for data scientists, analysts, and downstream applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data systems for structured and unstructured data used in analytics and AI.
• Build and operate reliable batch and streaming data pipelines ensuring data freshness, accuracy, and completeness.
• Manage data lakes and data warehouses, including creation of data‑marts, tokenization and vectorization for Gen AI use cases.
• Leverage modern build tools and AI to automate testing, quality checks, and deployment of pipelines.
• Implement cloud‑based data infrastructure in line with security, governance, and cost‑optimization policies.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, product managers and business users to translate requirements into maintainable solutions.
• Mentor interns on pipeline development and maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering or a closely related role.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• SQL and ELT/ETL pipeline development.
• Experience with data lakes, data warehouses and vector data stores.
• Knowledge of streaming, batch and event‑based processing techniques.
• Cloud data infrastructure design and implementation.
• Data governance, security and cost‑optimization best practices.
