Data Scientist, Regional Business Intelligence & Planning

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Data Scientist to join our Business Intelligence & Data Analytics team. You will work closely with functional teams to turn business challenges into data‑driven solutions that influence high‑impact decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Transform ambiguous problems into clear analytical questions and hypotheses.
• Apply statistical modelling, experimentation, and forecasting to generate actionable insights.
• Collaborate with partner teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Deliver compelling analyses and visual narratives to stakeholders at all levels.
• Present findings and recommendations in clear, business‑focused language.
• Support day‑to‑day business intelligence activities on an ad‑hoc basis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience handling large data sets with SQL and Python (PySpark a plus).
• Proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
• Strong presentation and storytelling abilities for non‑technical audiences.
• Experience translating business problems into data solutions and conducting advanced analytics (A/B testing, regression, segmentation, forecasting).
• Prior experience in e‑Commerce or internet industry is preferred.
