Deals, Merger & Acquisition Tax Manager (MA/SM)

About the role

PwC Singapore is hiring a manager for its Merger and Acquisition Tax practice, within Tax Services. The team advises clients on local and overseas tax matters and supports M&A transactions such as restructuring, divestiture, partnerships and insolvency, including treasury goals, tax asset quantification, tax risk assessment and taxable income and cash flow modelling.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake tax due diligence and structuring engagements under management's guidance.
• Analyse proposed M&A transactions for tax risks or benefits, advise on tax-efficient restructurings and interpret complex legislation and regulations on corporate transactions.
• Perform financial analysis of tax consequences, prepare for client review and submit requests for advance rulings and technical advice.
• Project manage and liaise with colleagues across Tax Services, PwC Singapore and network firms on M&A projects.
• Work with managers on non-M&A projects involving international tax planning, business restructuring and transfer pricing.
• Build client relationships and develop a network within PwC Singapore and the global network.

Required profile

• Recognised degree and/or postgraduate or professional qualification; accounting, tax, business, economics or law preferred.
• 8-10 years of relevant experience in M&A tax or international tax.
• SCTP accreditation is an added advantage.
• Strong written and spoken English, communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under tight deadlines.
