Demand and Supply Planner

About the role

Evonik is looking for a Demand and Supply Planner to plan and manage supply chain resources and demand processes so that the business meets agreed customer service targets at minimal operating cost and optimum stock levels. The role covers assigned plants and works from an annual to weekly basis within regional and global network planning.

Key responsibilities

• Balance demand and supply for assigned plants and establish the factual basis for constrained supply determination, calculating and implementing supply plans.
• Run and adapt the Integrated Business Planning Response and Supply (IBP R&S) within the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
• Monitor planning effectiveness KPIs and drive improvement measures.
• Execute allocation processes during supply shortages to maximize Business Line interests, and monitor bottleneck prevention.
• Manage inventory to optimize Net Working Capital while balancing service levels and supply chain costs.
• Support global Supply Chain Management projects such as distribution network optimization and end-to-end planning tools for SCM hub plants.
• Monitor increases in variable costs (raw materials, transportation and warehousing) and communicate them to the Product Line Manager for pricing reviews.
• Process service complaints together with logistics, production plants and external service providers.

Required profile

• Diploma in supply chain management, business processes, industrial engineering, business management or business administration.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in supply chain management and production scheduling.
• Strong analytical skills to work independently on complex issues, and a high degree of customer orientation, resilience, result orientation and flexibility.
• Strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Profound knowledge of SAP and IBP R&S.
