Deputy Director, Commercial Leasing

About the role

The Office of Commercial and Auxiliary Services (OCAS) at NTU seeks a Deputy Director to lead operational excellence, strategic execution, and service innovation across commercial leasing, hospitality, and auxiliary services for its campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Translate long‑term vision into actionable business plans and operational roadmaps for commercial leasing, hospitality and transportation.
• Lead campus experience initiatives to create a vibrant, inclusive environment for students, staff and visitors.
• Optimize revenue and lease yields across F&B, retail and lifestyle spaces, establishing robust performance metrics.
• Oversee contract performance and service delivery of outsourced vendors for car parks and shuttle bus services, promoting sustainable transport solutions.
• Direct operations, maintenance, refurbishment and financial sustainability of key hospitality assets such as the Nanyang Executive Centre and Campus Clubhouse.
• Proactively assess and mitigate operational, financial and safety risks across all portfolios.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Real Estate or related field.
• 12–15 years of progressive management experience in hospitality, property management or commercial operations, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale, KPI‑driven outsourced vendor contracts.
• Strong expertise in budget management, revenue optimisation, contract negotiation and business planning.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with experience building collaborative partnerships across university stakeholders and external agencies.
