Deputy Finance Director – Singapore & Southeast Asia

About the role

The Deputy Finance Director for Singapore & Southeast Asia will lead regional finance operations, ensuring high‑quality financial reporting, statutory and tax compliance, and robust balance‑sheet governance across all entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead timely, accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial submissions in line with Group reporting timelines.
• Review and challenge financial results, key judgments and estimates for consistency and accuracy.
• Act as the primary regional finance contact during Group consolidation, audits and management reporting cycles.
• Oversee local statutory financial statements, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards, Companies Act requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Ensure corporate income tax, withholding tax, GST/VAT and transfer pricing compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors and regulators to resolve issues efficiently.
• Maintain strong balance‑sheet ownership, including reconciliations, provisions, accruals, inter‑company balances and reserves.
• Lead balance‑sheet reviews and remediation actions for aged or high‑risk items.
• Design, implement and monitor effective internal controls over financial reporting across the region.

Required profile

• Accountable for timely and high‑quality financial reporting, statutory and tax compliance, balance‑sheet integrity and internal controls.
• Experience managing regional finance functions and coordinating with auditors and regulators.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting standards, Companies Act requirements and tax regulations in Singapore and SEA.
