Deputy General Manager, Retail Leasing

About the role

Our client, a leading real estate developer in Singapore, is seeking a Deputy General Manager – Retail Leasing to lead leasing strategy for a portfolio of prime shopping malls. The role involves driving occupancy, revenue growth and tenant mix optimisation across multiple retail assets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute leasing strategies to maximise occupancy and rental income for assigned malls.
• Lead, mentor and develop the leasing team, providing strategic direction on negotiations and initiatives.
• Identify and secure new tenants through market research, networking and business development.
• Negotiate lease terms, renewals and commercial agreements to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Review and finalise lease documentation ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and consumer behaviour to inform tenant mix strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, retailers and key stakeholders.
• Prepare annual leasing budgets, forecasts and performance reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Real Estate, Business, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in retail leasing, preferably within shopping malls.
• Proven track record in tenant acquisition, lease negotiations and portfolio management.
• Strong understanding of Singapore’s retail property market and leasing trends.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with ability to mentor high‑performing teams.
