Design Manager (Shoes/Footwear)

About the role

We are seeking a visionary Design Manager to lead the end‑to‑end design direction of women’s footwear collections. You will shape seasonal strategies, translate trends into commercially viable concepts, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality products that align with our brand vision.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute design direction for multiple footwear categories, balancing creativity with commercial goals.
• Identify emerging fashion, cultural and consumer trends and turn insights into innovative product concepts.
• Oversee the full design development cycle from ideation to final product delivery, maintaining quality and consistency.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including product development, merchandising and marketing.
• Guide, mentor and inspire junior designers, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing team environment.
• Lead design reviews, fittings and prototype evaluations, ensuring continuous refinement.
• Establish clear timelines, priorities and deliverables to guarantee on‑time project execution.
• Champion material, construction and technique innovation to differentiate the product line.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Footwear Design, Fashion Design or a related discipline.
• More than 5 years of experience in women’s footwear design, including leadership or managerial responsibilities.
• Strong, established portfolio demonstrating creative direction, product development and commercial success.
• Deep understanding of footwear materials, construction techniques, silhouettes and colour storytelling.
• Proven ability to balance creative vision with business objectives.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and team development skills.
• Highly adaptable, proactive and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
