Desktop Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Desktop Engineer to provide first‑ and second‑level technical support to end users, ensuring incidents are resolved efficiently and service requests are handled within SLA.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first and second‑level support, troubleshoot and resolve incidents independently.
• Handle high‑priority incidents, coordinate escalations and keep users and stakeholders updated.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors and stakeholders to address technical enquiries.
• Support seasonal exercises, perform connectivity and application readiness testing, and manage live‑exercise escalations.
• Manage ad‑hoc hardware and software testing, share workarounds and solutions with the team.
• Process, follow up and close service requests within SLA, including impact assessments.
• Perform folder management tasks such as creation, deletion and modification based on user requests.

Required profile

• Higher Nitec or equivalent qualification with at least 2 years of End‑User Computing (EUC) experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Meticulous, able to multitask effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team‑oriented yet capable of working independently.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation.
