DevOps Engineer – CI/CD Migration & Azure Cloud Transformation

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who will lead the migration of legacy CI/CD pipelines to modern Azure‑native and GitLab SaaS platforms. The role focuses on supporting large‑scale lift‑and‑shift migrations to Azure, automating deployments and ensuring reliability, scalability and security across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead migration of Jenkins and self‑managed GitLab CI/CD pipelines to Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitLab Cloud and managed runners.
• Redesign pipelines for scalability, maintainability and high availability.
• Support application lift‑and‑shift migrations to Azure services such as VMs, App Service and AKS.
• Implement and manage CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts) and GitLab Cloud.
• Integrate tools such as SonarQube, Nexus/Artifactory and security scanners into the pipelines.
• Develop infrastructure as code with Terraform, ARM templates or Bicep and automate environment provisioning.
• Create automation scripts in Bash, PowerShell and Python to eliminate manual steps.
• Set up monitoring, logging and alerting with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights.
• Embed DevSecOps practices, manage secrets with Azure Key Vault and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Collaborate with developers, architects and operations teams to drive best‑practice adoption.

Required profile

• Proven experience migrating CI/CD pipelines from on‑prem Jenkins or self‑managed GitLab to cloud‑native solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure services and large‑scale cloud migration projects.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, IaC and automation principles.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams and provide technical guidance.
