Director, ATTP Inventory & Central NPM

About the role

Micron is looking for a Director of Central NPM and Inventory Control to lead its global Assembly & Test New Product Management (NPM) execution and inventory governance. The role bridges Product Development Teams, Supply Chain Planning, site NPM organizations, Manufacturing and Business Units to deliver reliable NPI execution, predictable customer commitments and efficient inventory use. It leads a globally distributed team covering NPM governance, build plan commitments, demand lines, cycle time, WIP, inventory control, NPI-to-HVM readiness and planning transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the global Central NPM organization, set governance, benchmark reviews and operating cadence, and develop planning talent.
• Drive end-to-end NPI execution, including build plan commitments, sample delivery, NPI-to-HVM transition and MAD backlog review.
• Own inventory health: reduce aging, excess and unmanaged WIP, improve visibility and work with Finance and Manufacturing on inventory turns.
• Improve cycle time and throughput, including hot-lot cycle time, schedule attainment and loading linearity.
• Lead planning transformation: automate manual planning, enable system-based planning and advance AI-assisted planning, risk detection and inventory analytics.
• Serve as the primary planning interface for Business Units, PDT, Manufacturing, Finance, Supply Chain Planning and Global Operations, advising on supply disruptions and capacity constraints.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering or Business.
• 15+ years in semiconductor operations, supply chain planning, manufacturing planning and NPI management.
• 5+ years leading global teams, with experience in Assembly & Test, NPI/sample operations and large-scale planning transformation.
• Experience with inventory optimization and working-capital management.
