Field Service Engineer

About the role

Rotork, a global flow control and instrumentation company, is hiring a Field Service Engineer in Singapore. Reporting to the Service Supervisor, you will be part of a national team of Field Service Engineers providing prompt and effective service to customers in the water, power, petrochemical and other associated industries.

Key responsibilities

• Identify faults, repair, test and modify actuators in the field
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance
• Perform mechanical and electrical installation of actuators and associated retrofit adaptation of components, pedestals and drive shafts
• Complete accurate and technical site visit reports for each job
• Attend training courses such as confined space, working at heights and first aid, and carry out customer inductions, medicals and inoculations

Required profile

• Formal mechanical or electrical qualification
• Post-study experience in a practical engineering environment, preferably field-based
• Able and willing to meet an extensive travel commitment; a full valid driver's licence is required
• Willingness to attend training and complete inductions and medicals
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of valves, actuators and digital control systems
• Basic understanding of electronics, electrical and fluid power theory
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
• Use of common test and calibration tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
