Director / Managing Director, Deals Advisory (Structured Capital)

About the role

PwC's Deals Advisory Practice supports businesses with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and capital markets. Its Strategic Capital Solutions (SCS) team covers the APAC region and specialises in structured capital advisory (private credit and structured equity fundraising) and pre-emptive debt restructuring. As Director / Managing Director you will lead a team solving complex business issues from strategy to execution.

Key responsibilities

• Work with managing directors and partners to scan the market for potential opportunities
• Lead pitches and project execution under the leadership of a partner, supported by junior professionals
• Own most day-to-day client communication, which may be virtual or involve travel to the client's office, and possibly overseas travel later
• Shape and deliver projects that exceed client expectations and assignment quality criteria
• Grow and develop the team through hands-on training and coaching
• Improve the practice through team strategy, new business development and cross-discipline technical advice
• Build internal networks to collaborate on projects

Required profile

• 12 years or more of hands-on structured finance, corporate finance, turnaround or value creation work, covering pitching, scoping, planning and execution
• Solution-oriented approach able to combine multiple competencies for a comprehensive client solution
• Experience handling clients in Southeast Asia
• Previous experience with global and regional structured funds and credit roles in investment banks, advisory or boutiques is an added advantage
• Willingness to accept work visa sponsorship
