Director of Operations

About the role

Join the opening leadership team of Avani Singapore as the hotel's second‑in‑command, shaping one of Singapore's most exciting new lifestyle hospitality destinations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead the hotel through pre‑opening and beyond, overseeing all operational areas and ensuring a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in planning, organising and directing the overall operation of the hotel, and assume full responsibility in their absence.
• Lead pre‑opening operational activities, including team mobilisation, SOP implementation and service standards preparation.
• Oversee Rooms, Food & Beverage and all operating departments, ensuring seamless guest experience across all touchpoints.
• Support budgeting, forecast and monthly P&L analysis to maximise revenue and control costs.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, health and safety regulations and corporate audit requirements.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of operational management experience with strong Rooms and/or Food & Beverage background, preferably within international hospitality brands.
• Pre‑opening hotel experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven budget and profit responsibility.
• Leadership experience managing expatriate and local teams.
