Director of Projects – 3 Year Contract

About the role

The Construction Director will lead large‑scale construction projects supporting the expansion of Resorts World Sentosa. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project execution plans, timelines, budgets and define scope, goals and deliverables with stakeholders.
• Identify risks, establish mitigation strategies and set KPIs with reporting mechanisms.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, allocate resources, provide mentorship and enforce a culture of safety and accountability.
• Monitor expenses, negotiate with contractors and suppliers, and enforce cost‑control measures.
• Serve as primary liaison for consultants and contractors, communicating progress to senior leadership and resolving conflicts.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations and industry standards; conduct site inspections and risk assessments.
• Oversee quality control, conduct regular site audits, and manage final inspections, handover and close‑out documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of construction management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of delivering large‑scale construction projects successfully.
• Strong financial management, contract administration and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving, risk‑management and decision‑making skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Primavera P6.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
