Director, Regional Commercial Strategy, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)

About the role

The Director, Regional Commercial Strategy for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) will lead the Asia‑Pacific commercial strategy for Johnson & Johnson’s IBD portfolio within APSO Immunology. This senior position partners with local operating companies, regional cross‑functional teams and global functions to shape strategic priorities, influence asset plans and translate regional strategy into strong local execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy the Asia‑Pacific IBD commercial strategy and business plan, aligning global direction with diverse market needs.
• Translate market, customer, competitor, access and patient insights into strategic choices, priorities and resource recommendations.
• Drive growth and competitiveness for the in‑market IBD portfolio, monitor performance and close execution gaps.
• Lead regional launch readiness, lifecycle planning, market shaping and indication expansion.
• Represent the Asia‑Pacific perspective in global forums and influence asset strategy, evidence generation and commercialization timing.
• Build trusted partnerships with country business units, enable local execution of regional strategy and share best practices across markets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, science, pharmacy, medicine or related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
• At least eight years of progressive commercial experience in pharma, biotech or healthcare.
• Strong background in strategic marketing, commercial strategy and sales leadership.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional and cross‑geographic teams, influencing without direct authority.
• Experience developing business plans, launch strategies and portfolio investment recommendations.
• Experience in Immunology, Gastroenterology or IBD is strongly preferred.
