Director, Sales (Japan & Asia) – Japanese Speaking

About the role

Our client, a global financial services firm specializing in equity‑backed and crypto‑backed structured financing, is expanding its footprint in Asia. They are seeking a seasoned sales leader to accelerate growth in Japan and support broader regional initiatives across Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for the Japanese market.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities throughout Japan and the wider Asia region.
• Partner with senior leadership to originate, evaluate, and close new financing deals.
• Drive cross‑border business development and maintain a robust pipeline using the company’s CRM system.
• Build and nurture relationships with institutional clients, advisors, intermediaries, and strategic partners.
• Lead a client‑centric business development team, fostering a culture of integrity and collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and any necessary licenses.
• Track and report on monthly and annual performance metrics, meeting agreed targets.

Required profile

• Fluent in Japanese and English, both written and spoken.
• Proven track record in business development, client acquisition, and relationship management within financial services.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to understand complex financing products.
• Experience working with institutional investors, family offices, or high‑net‑worth clients.
• Ability to coordinate with internal operational and execution teams to close transactions.
