Distinguished Member of Technical Staff - Photolithography, NAND

About the role

Micron is hiring a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff (DMTS) for its Fab 10N/X site, focused on process development in photolithography for NAND. The role provides enterprise-level technical leadership, defines photolithography strategy and shapes industry-relevant technology directions, leading and influencing development and integration strategy, mentoring senior engineers and driving innovation across development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Sponsor long-range pathfinding initiatives for future nodes and architectures
• Establish and steward an enterprise-wide, long-term photolithography technology vision and strategic roadmaps
• De-risk novel lithography concepts and platforms
• Serve as a technical authority across R&D and manufacturing
• Influence strategy at executive and industry levels
• Mentor next-generation technical leaders
• Steward intellectual property and standards, and set internal technical standards
• Use AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency, quality or effectiveness, and share AI-enabled improvements within scope

Required profile

• PhD with at least 15 years, or Master's degree with at least 17 years, of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in semiconductor photolithography process development
• Recognised as an innovation leader in the industry

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in photolithography process and equipment roadmaps, and hands-on experience with cutting-edge photolithography equipment and metrology tools
• Advanced knowledge of optics, immersion lithography, polarized illumination and low k1 imaging
• Advanced understanding of semiconductor process flows and memory architecture
• Experience leading multi-node, multi-site programs
