Distribution Compliance Officer (1 Year Contract)

About the role

Prudential is hiring a Distribution Compliance Officer on a one-year contract. The role covers timely compliance reporting, misconduct trend monitoring and data analysis for distribution channels, and investigates suspected agency misconduct while recommending appropriate actions. It involves engaging stakeholders to ensure fair assessments and upholding regulatory and market conduct standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance reporting, misconduct trends and data analysis for distribution channels are completed within agreed timelines.
• Analyse suspected agency misconduct thoroughly, recommend and ensure appropriate action is taken against substantiated undesirable sales behaviour.
• Engage customers and distribution channels to obtain information for a fair and thorough assessment of alleged misconduct.
• Maintain discipline and compliance with prescribed market and business conduct for the distribution channels.
• Deliver projects and initiatives that meet internal and regulatory requirements and improve process efficiency.

Required profile

• 2 years of experience with in-depth data analysis and project management.
• Experience analysing insurance sales and/or agent misconduct data is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of the financial industry and familiarity with insurance operations (preferred).
• Familiarity with FAA and MAS regulations and industry guidelines for insurance (preferred).
• Degree in any discipline; relevant insurance qualifications such as M5 or M9 are preferred.

Required skills

• High proficiency in Excel and/or data analytics tools such as PowerBI and Python.
• Effective communicator, problem solver, and able to manage projects and change.
