Electrical Technician – Generators & Engines

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician/Electrician to join our team in Jurong West. The role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and testing of generators, engines, and related electrical systems for a well‑established company.

Key responsibilities

• Select, use, and maintain service tools for job assignments.
• Install electrical switches, sensors, transducers, transmitters, current transformers, alternator components, and control panels.
• Install engine wiring according to provided drawings.
• Disassemble and assemble engine components such as oil pumps, water pumps, and cylinder heads.
• Adjust engine valve lash and assist with mechanical installations (radiator, couplings, gearbox, piping, hoses).
• Perform alignment work for radiators, engines, and alternators.
• Prepare generators for load testing and conduct safety device and load tests, recording parameters.
• Connect ET tools to engines for diagnostic code reading and data logging.
• Troubleshoot and service engines, generators, and alternators.

Required profile

• ITE or equivalent technical certification.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in electrical/electromechanical maintenance.
• Knowledge of hydraulic starting systems, marine gearboxes, AC power alternators, alignment procedures, and control panel testing is advantageous.
