ELV Systems Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced ELV Systems Design Engineer to independently handle the design and coordination of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems for commercial and industrial projects. The role involves delivering complete design solutions without the need for additional training or supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop ELV systems including CCTV, access control, structured cabling, public address, car‑park, audio‑visual, fire alarm, network and server‑room layouts.
• Prepare detailed drawings, schematics and technical submissions using AutoCAD (and Revit/BIM where applicable).
• Conduct technical reviews of specifications and tender requirements.
• Collaborate with project and sales teams to produce technical proposals and design solutions.
• Coordinate with consultants, main contractors and clients to ensure design alignment.
• Ensure all designs comply with local regulatory standards and client requirements.
• Perform site surveys and support installation teams as needed.
• Provide accurate Bill of Materials and cost estimates for design deliverables.
• Stay updated on the latest ELV technologies and industry trends.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in ELV system design.
• Deep understanding of ELV system architecture and integration.
• Familiarity with local codes (e.g., SS, BCA, SCDF standards) and ability to read M&E drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Immediate availability or short notice is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.
