Engine Assembly / Disassembly Technician

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, designs, manufactures and services aircraft engines and auxiliary power units for commercial, military and business aircraft. It is hiring an engine assembly and disassembly technician in Singapore to carry out hands-on work on engines, their modules, parts and accessories.

Key responsibilities

• Use machines, equipment and tools to assemble, disassemble and inspect engines, their modules, parts, components and accessories.
• Read and follow standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Solve technical issues encountered in daily work.
• Support the Operations Leader, Assistant Foremen and Cell Leaders in reaching production targets and corporate goals.
• Carry out SAP transactions and make changes to work orders in SAP.
• Take part in EHS, continuous improvement and ethics projects and other corporate initiatives.

Required profile

• NITEC or higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or another related engineering discipline.
• 2 years of relevant experience in engine or module assembly, disassembly, inspection or testing.
• Commitment to rotating day and night shifts and overtime when needed.
• A curious, learning mindset; on-the-job training and certifications are provided.

Required skills

• Good understanding of technical drawings such as engine manuals.
• Preferred: good working knowledge of MS Office applications.
