Engine Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The role focuses on engine workscoping, new capability setup, documentation, operations support, engineering studies and incident investigation for aircraft propulsion systems. You will liaise with customers, OEMs and internal teams to ensure safe, efficient and compliant engine repair and overhaul processes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and prescribe work scopes for engine repair or overhaul and communicate findings to customers.
• Lead first‑article qualification for new processes and equipment, performing hazard identification and risk assessments.
• Design, commission and evaluate tooling, fixtures and consumables for aviation safety.
• Review airworthiness publications and keep internal work instructions up‑to‑date.
• Provide technical support on engine disassembly/assembly, inspection and testing, troubleshooting faults as they arise.
• Analyse engine build, performance and testing data to recommend reliability improvements and cost reductions.
• Investigate engine incidents, determine root causes and propose corrective actions.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Strong fundamentals in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Understanding of aircraft propulsion is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
• Team‑player attitude.
