Engineer Ecosystem Enablement (IP QA)

About the role

As part of the IP QA team at GlobalFoundries, you will qualify and validate semiconductor IP libraries across technology platforms. You will assess incoming vendor IP deliveries, run IP quality assurance and PM-IP testing, and ensure compatibility with evolving PDK and process updates, working closely with external IP providers and internal development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform incoming IP QA against a predefined checklist and meet committed cycle times, including verifying IP DK and silicon deliverables against contract
• Issue certificates of approval or non-conformance once QA passes or fails
• Qualify IP merge kits to support customer tape-outs
• Maintain and update IP information in the IP database and IP catalog
• Define test cases for IP qualification and regression, and continuously improve QA methodology and test suites
• Assess and define IP impact plans for PDK updates, run regression tests (physical verification DRC/LVS/DFM, PEX extraction, SPICE simulation) and consolidate results
• Chair stakeholder reviews to close out IP impacts and maintain the IP regression database
• Support scripting and automation, document technical issues, waivers and assessment reports, and support customer queries
• Maintain SOP workflow documentation and prepare for audits

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge of the RTL to GDS flow and analog simulation
• Hands-on experience with industry-standard CAD tools
• Proficiency in scripting and automation languages
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, well organised and able to work in a team

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with library compiler, PrimeTime and VCS
• Project management skills
• Interest in using AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity
