Engineer - PLN OI

About the role

Micron is hiring an Engineer for its PLN OI position, working on improving the efficiency and capabilities of complex manufacturing operations. The role combines modelling, data analytics, machine learning and web application knowledge with project management and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Use knowledge of modelling, operations research, data analytics, machine learning and web applications to improve complex manufacturing operation efficiency and capabilities.
• Communicate clearly on approach and methodology for analytics, reporting solutions and scheduling optimisation.
• Demonstrate project management skills: requirement gathering, resource estimation, time management, stakeholder engagement and delivery of deliverables.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders internally and externally, and join multi-area focus teams to improve manufacturing constraints.
• Present projects, approaches and data in meetings with stakeholders at different levels.

Required profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science and Analytics, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Statistics or a related field.
• Proactive, able to work independently and thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Plus: interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron.

Required skills

• Basic programming skills, preferably C#, Python and SQL.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure such as GCP, AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of data analytics, business intelligence and machine learning is a plus.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations, scheduling optimisation and capacity/cycle time modelling is a plus.
