Engineer - QEM Contamination Control (Environment/Process)

About the role

Micron is hiring an Engineer for its QEM Contamination Control role at Fab 10N/X. The position develops and executes contamination control strategies across fab, equipment and FOUP/FOSB environments to protect product quality, yield and manufacturing stability, and works closely with equipment, operations, facilities and AMHS teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run contamination control strategies across fab, equipment and FOUP/FOSB environments
• Lead contamination monitoring, environmental surveillance and real-time control systems for AMC, particles and advanced FOUP environments
• Investigate contamination issues, assess risks and drive corrective and preventive actions with data-driven methods
• Set contamination control standards, procedures and best practices in line with cleanroom and operational requirements
• Promote automation, analytics and AI-enabled solutions to improve contamination detection and efficiency
• Support equipment, material and technology qualifications, advanced node manufacturing readiness and process capability improvements
• Act as contamination control subject matter expert across engineering, operations, facilities, AMHS and global teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a science, chemical, environmental or material science engineering
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
• Good interpersonal skills and collaboration with diverse people
• Openness to swing shifts (Sun-Thur or Tue-Sat) depending on business needs
• Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron preferred

Required skills

• Basic MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Basic knowledge of ion chromatography, gas chromatography and particle analyzers is a plus
• Ability to use AI-enabled tools responsibly for research, analysis and operational tasks
