Engineering Coordinator

About the role

KYK Design & Build is seeking an Engineering Coordinator to manage structural steel projects from detailing through to site installation. You will act as the central point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate structural steel projects covering detailing, fabrication, delivery and installation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, project engineers, steel detailers and the fabrication team.
• Submit shop, fabrication and as‑built drawings for approval.
• Monitor schedules, drawing revisions, material requirements, fabrication progress and site installation.
• Work with production to ensure fabrication follows approved drawings and timelines.
• Track project progress and prepare status reports.
• Maintain documentation of engineering drawings, technical documents, material records and correspondence.
• Attend coordination meetings and ensure compliance with specifications, quality and safety standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in structural steel, steel fabrication or construction.
• Knowledge of structural steel fabrication and installation processes.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and shop drawings and engineering specifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Tekla Structures or similar engineering software.
