Engineering Coordinator

About the role

The Engineering Coordinator will manage structural steel projects from detailing through to site installation, ensuring seamless execution across all phases. You will act as the main liaison between clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams to keep projects on schedule and within specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate structural steel projects covering detailing, fabrication, delivery and installation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, project engineers, steel detailers and the fabrication team.
• Submit shop, fabrication and as‑built drawings for approval.
• Monitor project schedules, drawing revisions, material requirements and fabrication progress.
• Work with production to ensure fabrication follows approved drawings and timelines.
• Track project progress and prepare status reports.
• Maintain documentation of engineering drawings, technical documents, material records and correspondence.
• Attend project coordination meetings and ensure compliance with specifications, quality and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in structural steel, steel fabrication or construction.
• Knowledge of structural steel fabrication and installation processes.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and shop drawings and engineering specifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Tekla Structures or similar engineering software.
