Engineering Coordinator

About the role

KYK Construction is seeking an Engineering Coordinator to manage structural steel projects from detailing through site installation. You will act as the central hub between clients, consultants, contractors, and the fabrication team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate structural steel projects covering detailing, fabrication, delivery, and installation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, project engineers, steel detailers, and the fabrication team.
• Submit shop, fabrication, and as‑built drawings for approval.
• Monitor schedules, drawing revisions, material needs, fabrication progress, and site installation.
• Work with production to ensure fabrication follows approved drawings and timelines.
• Track project progress and prepare status reports.
• Maintain documentation of drawings, technical documents, material records, and correspondence.
• Attend coordination meetings and ensure compliance with specifications, quality, and safety.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in structural steel, steel fabrication, or construction.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and shop drawings and engineering specifications.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Tekla Structures or similar engineering software.
