Engineering Technician – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The Engineering Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the hotel’s machinery, equipment, building fixtures and facilities. The role includes executing preventive maintenance, assisting the Maintenance Supervisor, and performing both preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical, electrical and building services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of preventive management and repair schedules for all hotel machinery, equipment and facilities.
• Assist the supervisor and senior technician in day‑to‑day operations of the Maintenance Department.
• Supervise and delegate work to the maintenance crew, ensuring tasks are completed correctly.
• Participate in fire‑fighting and safety exercises.
• Ensure hotel management is satisfied with the quality of maintenance services.
• Provide guests with an adequate level of engineering services to meet their needs.
• Maintain hotel properties and facilities in good working condition to protect long‑term investment value.

Required profile

• Basic skills in maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing building equipment.
• Willingness to work as a team member.
• Basic knowledge of hotel maintenance and management.
• Sound understanding of mechanical, electrical and building engineering principles.
• Basic electrical control troubleshooting ability.
