English & English Literature Teacher (Secondary) – Jan 2027 Start

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic English and English Literature teacher to join the Secondary department of Singapore Chinese Girls' School from January 2027. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, support co‑curricular activities and contribute to the holistic development of our students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver English and English Literature lessons for secondary classes.
• Undertake form teachership duties and co‑curricular activity (CCA) responsibilities.
• Monitor, assess and report on student progress and overall development.
• Stay updated with new resources, pedagogies and assessment practices and share insights with the department.
• Inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential while fostering strong moral fibre and integrity.

Required profile

• Recognised degree or professional qualification in English, Literature or a related field.
• Formal teaching qualification such as NIE PGDE Diploma.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience at the secondary level.
• Passion for developing confident, purposeful learners.
• High integrity, personal drive, teamwork and innovative mindset.
