English Teacher

About the role

At Lil’ but Mighty we believe great English teachers do more than teach content. They help primary‑school students grow in confidence, communicate with clarity and discover that English can be meaningful, engaging and enjoyable.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct engaging English lessons for primary‑school students at our learning centres.
• Apply Lil’ but Mighty’s teaching strategies and curriculum effectively in the classroom.
• Plan, review and evaluate lessons to ensure effective student learning.
• Mark and provide constructive feedback on students’ work.
• Monitor student progress and identify areas needing additional support.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents about their child’s learning progress.
• Build positive relationships with students and create an encouraging classroom environment.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to review curriculum, develop teaching materials and improve instructional strategies.
• Participate in training, lesson observations and professional development activities.
• Teach an average of 11 classes per week, including relief classes when required.

Required profile

• Experience teaching English to primary‑school children.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Confidence in teaching writing, grammar, comprehension and oral communication.
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively while building positive relationships.
• Clear and professional communication with parents.
• Dependable, responsible and committed to follow‑through on responsibilities.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and results‑focused.
• Receptive to feedback and willing to continually improve teaching practice.
• Enjoy collaborative work with other educators.
• Available to work four weekdays and one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).
