Environment Health Safety Engineer - Safety

About the role

Micron is hiring an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) engineer for its Fab10 site. You will be responsible for implementing the site's EHS programs, including training, audits and liaison with external organisations on compliance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safety programs and procedures are effective, efficient and compliant with the management system and regulatory requirements
• Develop and implement cost-effective solutions for safety issues
• Coordinate, manage and conduct safety walks, inspections and audits
• Respond to emergencies, investigate incidents and recommend preventive and corrective actions
• Collect, analyse and communicate safety metrics and performance measurements
• Support ISO systems by taking part in internal audits
• Develop and deliver safety training in line with company goals
• Liaise with external organisations on EHS compliance issues
• Use AI-assisted tools responsibly to improve efficiency, quality and effectiveness

Required profile

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science
• Safety and health certifications such as Certified Safety Professional or ISO auditor training are a plus
• Experience with ISO 45001:2018 is a plus
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus
• Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable
• Knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred
