Environmental & Sustainability Intern (2H University)

About the role

GlobalFoundries is recruiting a 2H University Intern for its Environmental & Sustainability programme in Singapore. The internship is part of the company's Journey to Zero Carbon project, supporting the analysis and implementation of environmental measures at a semiconductor manufacturing site. It is a 20-24 week credit-bearing internship starting from June 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Improve the Environmental Management System, including automation and Big Data efforts
• Perform carbon emissions verification to comply with the Carbon Pricing Act and support the Carbon Tax audit by external auditors
• Analyse and support waste reduction, water reclamation, wastewater treatment, air emissions control, environmental awareness and other projects as needed
• Develop and lead Earth Week activities and promote environmental awareness

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability or a related field at the time of the internship
• Interest in the green industry
• Able to work independently in an unstructured environment and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
