Equipment Maintenance Specialist

About the role

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of port equipment, handling breakdowns promptly and supporting daily maintenance activities in line with safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Handle equipment breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime.
• Carry out daily maintenance tasks according to the vessel schedule and routine checklists.
• Create and close Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) work orders for each job.
• Monitor the SCADA system from the Central Control Room for the T1 and T2 cement terminals and the RMC Eco‑plant.
• Assist the Corrective & Preventive Maintenance team and engineers with inspections, commissioning and specific jobs as required.

Required profile

• Minimum NITEC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Port Equipment Technology or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in seaport cargo‑handling maintenance or a related industrial field.
• Willingness to work shifts and respond to call‑backs promptly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Required skills

• Basic Programmable Logistic Controls (PLC).
• Knowledge of AC/DC motors, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to install and maintain electrical circuitry and equipment up to 415 V.
