Equipment Maintenance Technician

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc., a manufacturer of memory and storage products, is hiring an Equipment Maintenance Technician in Singapore. Equipment Technicians monitor, sustain and improve the equipment in their assigned area, working with Shift Operations team members, area equipment engineers and tool vendors. They monitor tool performance, schedule and carry out preventative maintenance, and use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to repair equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to find problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuild manufacturing equipment as required.
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality or effectiveness, following organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying, testing and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within their scope of work.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering; Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering is preferred.
• Experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and technologies is preferred.
• Able to work a 12-hour rotating shift.
