Equipment Technician

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc., an industry leader in memory and storage solutions, is hiring an Equipment Technician in Singapore (MSB, 990 Bendemeer Rd). The technician performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to identify problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuild manufacturing equipment as required.
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering; Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering is preferred.
• Experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred.
• Knowledge of the semiconductor manufacturing process and technologies is preferred.
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts is preferred.

Required skills

• Electrical or mechanical troubleshooting and equipment repair.
• Use of test and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of AI tools and applications, and leveraging AI-enabled ways of working where applicable.
