Execution Trader - Night Desk Officer (5pm to 1am)

About the role

Fuku is hiring an Execution Trader - Night Desk Officer in Singapore, working 5pm to 1am during US market trading sessions, including night shifts and public holidays. The role sits in the Execution (Asia) - Night Desk team, reporting to the Head Execution (Asia) - Night Desk, and covers active risk management, order execution and client service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage active risk and adhere to all regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
• Ensure fast, accurate execution of trade orders and minimize operational losses.
• Execute client orders for equities and fixed income products in European and US markets during the night shift.
• Provide high-quality service to Execution (Asia) - Night Desk clients and Direct Access Clients (DACs), including answering inquiries about the global macroeconomy and financial markets.
• Maintain close relationships with counterparties and consult regularly with Front representatives on client needs.
• Keep accurate records of executed trades, maintain client information, and report regularly to management.
• Perform suitability and regulatory checks and disclosures before execution, obtain approvals for new counterparties, and review practices to mitigate risk.

Required profile

• Relevant higher education and professional background with 5-10 years of related experience.
• Ability to work independently and within a global team, with strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Fast learner who can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• MAS licensed representative, CACS 1 and CACS 2, and RES 1B, 2B and CM-SIP certifications.
• Familiarity with regulatory expectations, cross-border rules and regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in trading systems, tools, Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
• Strong knowledge of equities, structured products, fixed income products, trading platforms and execution strategies.
• Good understanding of financial products across all asset classes.
• Proficiency with electronic pricing tools and dealing systems.
