Executive Director – Energy & Infrastructure Structured Finance (APAC)

About the role

Santander’s Financing Group in Asia Pacific is looking for an Executive Director to lead its Energy Structured Finance and Infrastructure & Transportation Structured Finance pillars. Based in Singapore, you will drive origination, structuring and execution of complex financing transactions across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Energy and Infrastructure & Transportation structured finance activities for APAC.
• Originate, structure and execute energy, infrastructure and transportation financing deals, as well as syndicated corporate loans and debt capital market solutions where relevant.
• Conduct client discussions, develop financing strategies, prepare marketing materials, negotiate term sheets and manage internal approval processes.
• Prepare and review credit papers, financial models, due‑diligence packages, risk assessments and return analyses.
• Collaborate with relationship managers, loan syndication, debt capital markets, legal, credit risk, market risk, compliance and operations teams.
• Oversee post‑closing portfolio management, including covenant monitoring, cash‑flow performance, valuation, provisioning and refinancing opportunities.
• Contribute to the growth of Santander’s Financing Group franchise across Asia Pacific.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in energy, infrastructure and/or transportation finance, preferably with project or structured finance transactions.
• Proven track record of originating, structuring and closing large‑scale financing deals.
