F10 Probe Automation Technician

About the role

Micron Technology is hiring a Probe Automation Technician for its Fab 10N/X site. The role supports the probe automation team's software systems that keep factory operations running, covering autonomous material delivery, factory scheduling and on-site equipment automation. It provides day-to-day operational support across shifts, working closely with shift manufacturing and equipment teams to restore automation availability quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the health and performance of probe automation systems, including automated material delivery, automated lot scheduling and in-house equipment automation.
• Respond to alarms, errors and scheduling failures, performing first-level fixing and recovery according to SOPs and work instructions.
• Log and update tickets for automation issues, and bring unresolved or recurring problems to the system owners with clear details.
• Partner with shift manufacturing and equipment teams to minimise automation-related downtime and protect priority lot movement.
• Take part in internal improvement projects such as simplifying manual steps, improving dashboards and updating SOPs.
• Maintain automation SOPs, checklists and problem-solving guides, and share knowledge with other shift team members.
• Identify and test AI-enabled improvements within your scope, and strictly follow all safety procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Applied AI & Analytics, Mechatronics or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Able and willing to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to prioritise under production pressure and communicate clearly during shift handover and ticket documentation.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language such as Python or Perl, able to read and modify scripts safely in production.
• Basic SQL for querying databases and investigating issues.
• Familiarity with Linux-based systems (Ubuntu, RHEL, AlmaLinux) including command line navigation and log review.
• Exposure to web technologies (HTML, CSS or a framework such as Angular) is an advantage.
