Fab Engineer - QEM PQE Yield

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc. is hiring a Fab Engineer for its Fab 10N/X site. You will join a team of process and equipment engineers who start up, develop and optimize processes to improve product quality and reliability. The role focuses on process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management, and on diagnosing and resolving manufacturing line problems.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose and resolve process-related problems using failure analysis, FMEA, 8D or SPC methods.
• Handle new product startup and sustain high-volume product yield and product grade improvement.
• Monitor yield and product grade performance against plans and drive improvements.
• Analyze data with statistical tools, summarize results and share them with all affected groups.
• Design and run design-of-experiments (DOE) to drive improvement.
• Run taskforce meetings to mitigate yield loss and build a continuous-improvement roadmap with cross-functional teams.
• Work with the wafer fab process/integration group and with FAB, MH, PE, PYE and others to resolve process, device and test issues.
• Coordinate process, equipment and material evaluations, lead yield and cost-reduction activities, and manage, audit and liaise with material suppliers.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work and share AI-enabled improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Microelectronic, Material Science, Data Science, Physics, Mathematics or Statistics.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, and proven ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to handle complex, multi-tasked projects.
• Willingness to work flexible hours overlapping different time zones if necessary.
• Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.

Required skills

• Experience in yield analysis or EFA is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of CMOS device physics, NAND device operation, probe test flow and test methodology, and baseline qualification are added advantages.
• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI tools responsibly.
