Facilities Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical/Control Systems)

About the role

Micron is looking for a Facilities Engineer to lead engineering, maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives across the critical facility systems that support advanced semiconductor manufacturing. The role ensures the safety, reliability, efficiency and sustainability of facility infrastructure while supporting site growth and operational excellence, working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• EHS compliance, risk assessments, FMEA and post-incident reviews with corrective and preventive actions
• Commissioning, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and optimization of critical facility systems, using 8D and 5 Why methods
• Lead or support infrastructure upgrades, expansion projects and capacity planning, with engineering oversight during design and construction
• Drive reliability, energy efficiency and sustainability improvements, including smart technologies, predictive diagnostics and AI-assisted tools
• Collaborate with stakeholders, contractors and vendors, and mentor technicians and engineers

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Engineering Science or a related discipline
• Strong analytical, logical and critical thinking skills, effective communication and a growth mindset
• Internship or experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, facilities, utilities, automation or related fields is an advantage
• Interest in semiconductor manufacturing and Micron is preferred

Required skills

• Preferred: 8D, FMEA, SPC, DOE or engineering statistical analysis
• Advantageous: PLC, SCADA, ETAP, automation, programming, database systems or sustainability initiatives
• Ability to use AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively
