Facilities Operations Executive

About the role

Nanyang Institute of Management (NIM), established in 2001, is looking for a Facilities Operations Executive in Singapore. The post reports directly to the Facilities Operations Manager and takes a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day management of campus facilities, including maintenance, safety compliance and keeping facilities safe, functional and well maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise, maintain and manage the operations and reliability of NIM facilities and general infrastructure systems.
• Set up and monitor preventative maintenance programmes and facility inspection processes, and review maintenance work by agencies.
• Develop, recommend and administer policies and procedures for grounds and building maintenance, and ensure compliance with them.
• Monitor the safety and accessibility of buildings and facilities, and act as the point of contact for the school.
• Maintain a list of facilities equipment and oversee external contractors so that agreement terms are met and work is satisfactory.
• Take part in developing and administering the grounds and building maintenance budget.
• Work in both office and outdoor environments, and perform any other duties assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma in Facilities Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a school environment with diverse stakeholders, manage and mediate conflicts, negotiate and analyse operational issues to recommend practical solutions.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of facilities maintenance and operations, contract and vendor management, preventive maintenance and project coordination.
• Sustainability practices and compliance with applicable local laws and regulations.
